VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas) is the world’s leading independent international development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty in developing countries. VSO's high-impact approach involves bringing people together to share skills, build capabilities, promote international understanding and action, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all.

Over the past 50 years, VSO has remained steadfast in its belief that the greatest impact on poverty and disadvantage is through sharing skills. At the same time, we are always evolving and working to stay at the forefront of innovative work in developing countries.

VSO tackles poverty by using the skills, commitment and enthusiasm of individuals from around the world. For 50 years, VSO have been recruiting volunteers aged between 23 and 68 to live and work in the heart of local communities.
